“The Ultimate Sales Machine” Chap 1 and 2

Chapter 1  TIME MANAGEMENT SECRETS OF BILLIONAIRES

Yeah I can’t wait until I’m a billionaire. We would call it putting out fires.  He calls it “got a minute”

Management Accounting philosophy is plan, organize, control and feedback.  His  “My Time Management  Epiphany” p.9 is that he planned and organized his day into “got a minute” slots and meeting slots.  Again, you have to be commitment to this method and be prepared with a canned answer like “Is this something that can’t wait until the weekly meeting?”

The Six Steps to Great Time Management

Step 1 “Touch it Once”  I believe in this and practice this.

Step 2 “Make Lists” – I believe in this and practice this.  Every day at 4:30 I plan a list for what I need to do tomorrow.  It helps me sleep at night too. Since I have to charge out my time, I also summarize accomplishment for that day.  If you do it daily, it doesn’t take long to do.

Step 3 “Plan how much time you will allocate to each task.” I don’t do this.  If find this is a waste of time.  When I schedule my “make a list”  I divide list into 8 hr tomorrow and after tomorrow list.

Step 4 “Plan the Day”  got it.

Step 5 “Prioritize” at my 4:30 planning and dividing my list into tomorrow and after tomorrow.

Step 6 “Ask Yourself. ”Will It Hurt Me to Throw This Away?”

I’m guilty of too much saved email.  However when it comes to paper,  I am constantly cleaning out and organizing my client files because I have to carry a briefcase with their information in it.  If I don’t clean it out,  it will get too heavy.

Okay I’m ready to be a billionaire.

Chapter 2 “Instituting Higher Standards and Regular Training”

p.21 “Preprogram Your Organization to Run Like a Finely Turned Machine”

Again, I live by this philosophy with continuous improvement and I am a fan of “E-myth”

I am shocked that “… 90% of the population will not look to improve their skills.” I must be in the 10%.
